It encodes a specific manufacturing workflow: the role, the inputs, the output format, the domain rules, the edge cases. After you paste it, your LLM behaves like a 15-year shop-floor operator for that one task.

No. If you can copy text and paste text, you can use a skill. There's no installation, no API key, no developer tools. The skill text is plain English (with a structured shape) — practitioners read them, edit them, share them around the WhatsApp group.
Yes — encouraged. Once you copy a skill, it's yours. Tweak the rules, change the format, add your factory's specific terminology. We publish skills as starting points; the real value comes when you fork them for your shop. Send us your improvements if you want them shared.
For people who don't want to copy-paste — you upload your data, we run the skill on our side, you get the artifact back. It's in development with a small pilot group. The free skills give you the same logic right now; the hosted version just removes the manual step.
